Surgical Lights – Defining Quality and Standards
Surgical lights create ‘whiteness’ required to see with clarity during a surgery. Actually, different tones of flesh colors need to be distinguished while performing surgery. The surgical lights being high quality emit white light and are not colored, that can’t mislead. The flesh tone differentiation clearly is vitally important in surgery. This is called color temperatures and they are measured in kelvins. Heat and Radiation Surgical lights don’t emit heat and radiation which could be devastating in the case focused as is generally done over a part of the body which is operated on for hours. If left under lights emitting heat, it can damage tissues through thermal radiation dryness. But with medical advancement surgical lights produce minimal effects over tissue due to heat or radiation exposure.
